Are you sure you've got it right.
I know you have a Troll at the bottom of your garden, perhaps you are
considering bringing it.
But when the wife said pet tax, she probably meant Petrol tax,
not Pet Troll tax.
Bad joke, sorry.

7 days to go eh !! no problem.

Heh heh!!! You nutter!! Thanks for the giggle!!!

I was obviously unclear, this is sum of money paid to the state every year for owning a pet, she said it was about $10 a year in Massachusetts

I live in MA and we have two cats - I've never heard of a 'pet tax' or 'cat license' - of course I could just be ignorant and breaking the law - but my wife (who is from these parts) hasn't heard of it either.

Nah Patrick's wife is just worried that she is going to have to pay for the rest of her life to keep her pet, Patrick, in the US. ;-) and is wondering if there is someway to housebreak him.

This is a link to the Mass. dept. of public health - cats and dogs must have a rabies jab and tag (mine had the jab in the UK and no tag - whoops!)
Nothing about a pet tax though...

Remarks: This message meant in the event you move to Texas...representations as to current Texas taxes (love the way that sounds) are not herein made nor implied in any fashion whatsoever. No animals were harmed during the typing of the message.

Many years ago in the UK a marriage licence was 7/6d (seven shillings
and sixpence) whereas a dog licence was 10/- (ten shillings). I'll leave
it to your imagination as to the jokes about which was the greater value
for money (including the standard bingo call of "seven and six - was she
worth it?")

I'm showing my age now.. I'll get my coat
