AOS Filed: August 15, 2002 (K-1) at Federal Plaza
Biometrics: April 3, 2004 (Did it at Hempstead. No waiting!)
Waiting for interview appointment. Anybody want to post an update? Did anyone
file around mid 2002, and if so do you have an interview appointment yet?
Sonny.

My husband filed in October 2003 for AOS in NYC, (his papers went through MSC or NBC whatever its called) and he has his AOS interview for June 22, 2004 in Garden City.
For those at Federal Plaza, as I posted earlier, my coworker filed May 2002 and received her appointment notice this past weekend for June 2, 2004.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE AND WISH US LUCK TOO!!!

since papers are now going through MSC or NBC or whatever, may I then assume
that the total time between filing AOS in NYC and getting the final interview
is now about 7 months now instead of approx. 2 years as it's been??????

I'm assuming they contact you prior to the interview to go and get the medical/vaccinations done?

I filed my AOS papers in Nov 2001 and will have my AOS interview in
early may. It seems my wait has been longer than others!!!
I had my finger prints take in Hempsted, Long Island in September
2003....
This whole process has been so frustrating.
So when I have the AOS interiew - presuming all goes smoothly whe do
i get my green card???

That is a relief to hear. As previously posted this interview has been
about 2.5 years in coming. Just need to have my medical and gather my
paperwork and I am all set. It will be an enormous weight off my
shoulders. How long does the stamp last?

Question...
My husband submittted a medical form with his AOS application in October 2003.
Will we have to take a new one for the interview?
I don't think so because the NOA we received states something along the lines of..."bring medical form if you did not submitt one for this application".
What do you guys think?

My wait was not much better than yours. I waited for 26 mos for the interview (I filed in June 2001). I did get a stamp for PR (unconditional) at the interview and it's good for one year. I was told that it'll take 6-9 mos to get the actual card. It's been over 8 mos now and I am still waiting (no card, no welcome letter).
