Anybody know any deadlines for submitting the infomation required by NVC? How long do you basically have to submit all documents/pay all fees etc? We have just received our NVC case number and will log into CEAC soon.

I believe you have 1 year at each stage of the process.

I agree with Noorah; the NVC will boot you once you have been inactive for over a year. I take that to mean as long as you are logging in to your account your are considered active.

Thank you for your answers . The reason we are worried about the NVC stage timeline/deadline is: We are concerned about Brexit and how it will affect the market. We have a house here in Scotland that we need to sell so are wondering "what if the process of getting the house sold takes a few good months or even longer" that's why we are curious whether there is some kind of deadline by which we have to have our NVC stage completed and the embassy interview booked. Is it up to us to decide how long the NVC stage takes or is there some official US guidance how long we have to complete that stage?

You've already been given the answer. You have 1 year to respond to the NVC request for information. After that, the petition will expire.

No need to be in the UK to sell a house though, plenty of people sell from abroad.
