Exclamation NVC Process

Hello everyone

I've just received my NVC file number today. I was just wondering if someone could please tell me what mode of payments are acceptable for the AOS & visa application fee (i.e. bank draft, cc etc.). And can you please advise me about how I could save some time on AOS/DS-230 processing.

Please also let me know if there is any FBI checking involved even the benificiary lives outside the states.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Judging from your past threads, you aren't going through an AOS process.

You are going through the Immigrant Visa process after your USC spouse filed an I-130.

For payment, are you talking about the fees which go to NVC? I think most people use a personal check, must be drawn on a US bank account.

As for saving time, the only way I know of is to have a form pre-filled out so you can fill out the form more quickly when you are required to.

Yes, security checks will be done for the intending immigrant.

Read the sticky posts on this page--I think all your questions are answered there.

AOS normally = Adjustment of Status, but I think you are using it for Affidavit of Support?

I keep forgetting AOS can also mean Affidavit of Support. I'm sure that's what he meant. Acronyms!

Thanks Rene and Meauxna.

Yeah, I thought AOS stands for Affidavit for Support

Cheers!
