Does anyone have the phone number for the embassy in Holland? Everytime i call I get
a recorded message and I cant seem to get a live person to speak with. I have looked

That's right, they have several lines in Amsterdam, and both of them have recorded messages only.
I remember -when I was going through the K-1 process- I needed to talk to the Amsterdam office, so I called the Embassy in Den Haag, told them it was really important, and they gave me a number in Amsterdam.
However, even with this direct line, it took me hours to get through...
Wish you luck!

Check http://www.usemb.nl , all numbers for both the embassy and the consulate
are there.

The recording should give you the time of day to reach a live person. It used to be
restricted to one hour in the afternoon. Remember, they use 'military' time so if
they say ....between 14:30 and 15:30 hour then subtract either 7 hours (if you are in
central time zone) or 8 hours (if you are mountain time) to get the right calling
time from Texas. if a 'lady' answers, she can be rather crabby. Just do some major
sucking up and she melts in your hand. She can be really helpful, just wants to yell
at you first , I guess. any reason why your husband can't call from the Netherlands
where it is a heck of a lot cheaper?

good luck, Eileen

a regular filed I-130 takes 45 to 65 days IF: 1--you fill out the forms correct
2--you have the supporting evidence 3--the police report comes back clean 4--your
husband passes the physical with no communicable diseases

I don't know who told you that (maybe Catholic Charities who helped you turn a 45 day
process into over a year)...hundreds of couples have filed an I-130 with the American
spouse living in America. One couple just received the visa with the Dutch spouse
ALSO living in America for the last 3.5 years. See our website...click on 'other
couples' if you want a few examples of how long it takes in Amsterdam.

I hope not. When you finally get it, I am gonna send Nana some flowers. I'm sure your
Dutch husband will get you some.

good luck, Eileen
