now what's the first NOA?

Hello NG,

the first NOA - is it the letter that says they got the application? Is this a
good sign?

Yes it is the letter saying they got your appplication. And yes it is a good sign
because at least you know the application made it to the office and didn't get lost
in the mail. Now you just have to wait for the second NOA which will let you know
that your petition was approved if all is in order. I am waiting on my second NOA,
got the first from TSC on June 21....

Yes-

Now you are more than just a name, you are a number. You may call in the middle
of the night and check your status now. This means that they opened their mail,
and read it.
