Default November NSC Approval!!!!

I think they made it! Being totally bored to death, I spent some time sequentially searching NSC numbers on the BCIS case status site. After checking some 1500 case numbers that were received by NSC on November 7th, 2002, I found a 129f that was approved!

FYI, the case number was: LIN0302952041

Don't know whose it is, but I'm sure they are thrilled! Now, for the rest of us! LOL

Of course, I forgot to not the 'approval date' and because of my 'significant' number of inquiries, I'm locked out for the rest of the day. LOL Gotta love them government computers! Somebody might want to look up that number and post the approval date.

Also, FYI, in the number above, the '029' represents the date the case was receceived at BCIS. 029 = Nov 7th, 030 = Nov 8th, 033 = Nov 9th and 034 (OUR NUMBER) is November 12th.

F in Canada

NSC Timeline:
Petition received by BCIS - November 12, 2002
1st NOA - November 15, 2002
2nd NOA - Pretty soon, I'm betting!

Sleuth,

Of all the threads that I have read, that is by far the most interesting. We have all been beating our selves in the Jimmies trying to figure out what is going on. The Telephone operators have proven worthless, but it is nice to see some real factual info.

Thanks again,

Scott

Someone grab an old calander. My number is LIN030605____ and my receipt date is Dec 16th.. Does the math work out? Would 60 de the 16 th of Dec.? What date would the number 1 be on? Why would they start it there? Perhaps one of the seven wonders of the world?

I suspect the first 2 or 3 digits have to do with the processing center identification and the next 2 or 3 digits are date indicators based on a Julian calander in some way. It's a government thing! lol

Yes, Scott, 060 stands for December 16. I'm a 058 for December 12.
Count business days only. They start from the beginning of their
fiscal year which I think is in October sometime. Someone else will
have this info as I'm sure I've seen the complete explanation posted
before. I think the "03" stands for 2002/2003 BCIS year, and the next
three stand for the number of the business date the petition was
received. I don't recall any more, but hope this helps somewhat!

Mikki,

Very interesting indeed... I wonder if that is how the British Government came up with 007?

I read in here a long time ago regarding case ID numbers. LIN stands for
Lincoln where NSC is located. 03 is fiscal year. The fiscal year begins
October 1st or around that time. The next three numbers is day # of the
current fiscal year. The last 5 numbers is your case ID.

Very good! But the last five numbers are not exactly the case the number, the last four are. The 5, the first number of the last five numbers means that our case is available to view online.

Sleuth...

This case has been approved. On March 19, 2003, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.
