As a manager myself, I can tell you that I would appreciate those that come clean / honest and tell me that they really like the job and want to continue to produce at an engaged level through the last possible day. Good managers understand this and value the honesty, engagement and value of a trained employee. I have hired back people who have displayed the integrity above, when their life situations changed yet again.
