Well, as for me......... I still have to buy birthday cards for both of my parents (December birthdays). I haven't wrapped anything yet, but I do have all of my Christmas presents bought. I am a little bit concerned about my Mom's birthday present. I would like to just give her $$$$$ because I know she is strapped and I can't find anything that I would like to give her otherwise. Would that be tacky?

Well, I think when you need the money, it's nice to actually get some as a present...I mean, if my parents did that for me for Christmas, I wouldn't think it tacky! Maybe get her a smaller present and a bigger envelope? Just my 2 cents though! =)

Absolutely, not tacky! Personally, I love getting gift certificates as I am notoriously difficult to buy for. I never have anything I *need*, and I rarely have anything I really *want*, so let me have the "cash" and when someone strikes me someday, I'll spend it!

Well, guys, off to eat a Cup O Noodles and head to bed. What a glamorous life I lead.......

OH! just have to share this.....Since we've been approved and the petition was sent to London on Monday, Mr. P. has sent a couple of boxes over (like summer clothes, etc....) and I got them today. It was so fun to actually open a box with his *stuff* in it! *sigh*. Ok, all done now.......
