A note form DHS - what would this mean?
Folks,
A couple of days ago I received a letter from the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Records Management in Wash., DC. It says: "Your local U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) notified us of your change of address. In order to completely process your change of address with the DHS, you must also complete an AR-11 form and mail it to..." - London, KY, etc. Later it says: "Please disregard this notice if you have submitted an AR-11 since June 1, 2003". I have an AOS pending, was fingerprinted last Feb., and moved to a new appartment in June 2003. I sent a AR-11 forms for me and family members immediately after I moved, and informed Nebraska Service Center (where my case is) about address change by phone. Thus, I have a couple of questions: 1. Does this note mean that my case has been transfered to a local (that would be Detroit, MI) USCIS office? If it does, what should I expect next? (approval, interview, or something else?) 2. Even though I clearly remember sending out filled AR-11's for myself and my family members, does it mean that DHS office in London, KY has not received them? Should I send them again (better safe than sorry...)? Thanks in advance for your comments, and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to everyone Eugene |
