Default Notarized Tax Return for I-134

Hi there,

Just a quick query. When my OH gets her latest tax return notarized for me to take to the K1 interview with the I-134, does I need to have the original, or can a copy of it be notarized and be sufficient for the interview?

A photocopy of the tax return should be OK, and it does not have to be notarized. You should bring original W2's though (the statement she gets at the end of the year showing her earnings).

Alternately, she can call and get official IRS tax transcripts (they are free, go to www.irs.gov to get the number to call). You would still need original W2's to show.
