Synthesis

Jason asked me to call him and read out this great big long letter they sent him about the case being sent onto the NVC and then onto the US consulate in the UK. I finally managed to get it out of him that it was the second I-797 Notice of Action. :P

So yeah, I'm still trying to process this. Damn, it's really happening. It's a huge step, to leave my life here behind, but I really do love Jason that much.

Now, onward. What would one recommend doing next? Jason is getting the I-134 Affidavit of Support sorted and sent to me, but when should I get the police clearance? Will the US Consulate in London write to me when they receive the case?

Excuse me for the garbled nonsense here, but I had to share with someone... Now I need to break the news to my family that the visa process is going faster than we all thought it would...

I'm delighted, or at least, will be, when I can get my head around it.

Congratulations! Yes, get the police certificate, as I've heard that can take up to 40 days or so to receive. You don't want to be stuck waiting for that.

Yes, the London consulate will send you a packet of paperwork for your K-1 visa application (commonly known as Packet 3). There is a checklist you'll turn back in, then London will set your interview date and send you to have a medical done.
