Default No interviews in Manila

I was looking at the Manila embassy website and they list all the steps for
obtaining a K1 but they don't mention that an interview is necessary UNLESS
there is a problem somewhere along the line. They say that after the medical
the visa, if approved would be sent to the applicant. Look here under Step

That web site is not up to date....interview started again for everyone about 6 months ago...

Keep in mind....make sure the fiance goes to the medical exam on Monday or Tuesday....then they can go to the interview that same Friday.(you need to be sure you have time to get your medical exam results before Friday...it usually takes a day or so)

Also...no appointment is needed for medical or interview...only a exam notice you will get in K-Packet....

My husband just had his interview on a K3 visa last Friday and there was no
interview. They just asked for the medical stuff, his forms and papers, and
some pictures and nothing else. But, one paper was missing, so they gave
him a date of April 4th to come back with it. But the kept his passport and
there was not that dreaded - we will send you a letter - meaning
administrated review, so after April 4th, he will be issued his visa.

He said they asked about nothing. Maybe since he married an American lady,
they were in shock since not many American women marry Filipino
men.....hahahahahahaha...........

Good luck!!!!!

Ambria,

I might have been standing in-line next to your husband,
It is actually a interview, it just that they may not ask, very many, if
any questions.
The guy next to me needed a copy of his wife's divorce paper

Ambria thank you, this is the type of information I'm looking for, an actual
expereinced itself. I heard that only k3 is going for no interview. I'm still
hoping that someone out there share their actual experience. Thank you again.

He went for his medical on Monday - was told to come back on Wednesday since
I think it was a holiday or something, and then he just walked in on Friday.
It's nice to have it done all in one week....well sort of - except the
missing paper we need.......

Maybe! I think the Filipino people, no matter male or female are really
good people. I would not trade my husband for the world.

Good luck to you too!
