Ooooo, I see. I feel so dumb! I just did a bit of a search, I see there is a difference between a British Citizen (what he could be) and a British National (what I am). And yes, he is USC

What, well, I don't bloody know, apparently lol I am British, born and bred, UK passport... I guess that changes things... :S Argh!

Maybe, maybe not. Some British qualifications translate easily into something recognised in the US, others require you to take examinations and recertification, some you might as well tear up because they're worthless, and you might have to start over. ...... What is it that you do?

Yeah I know all that. I have a BA and a PGCE but I know teaching out there is different. I currently work as a project coordinator running a youth programme for our local YMCA. A lot of my experience has been through work and I've progressed based on that more than my qualifications. I also volunteer in a theatre and a working on some microsoft quals that I hope will help.

It won't be easy finding a job for either of you.
The job market is very tough at the moment. Absent high demand skills just be aware that it could possibly take 6 months to a year to find work.

In fact go to Indeed.com and see if there's anything you'd be qualified for in the area to which you are moving.
