I have to go to INS office in Hartford CT every June to have my Passport
stamped and get a red I-551 stamp. Employment authorized.
Every time I ask they say its being made in Texas!
What do I have to do? I am tired of waiting!

Texas doesn't handle CT green cards, does it?
OH, yeah... interesting, the same kinds of stuff keeps coming from the
same Comcast address.

Unless there are exceptional circumstances surrounding your case, I'd advise you to go straight to your Senator, not the Congress office. I'd be doing that after ONE year, let alone 3.

Wow that's a long time to be waiting. My wife and I had her AOS interview on Feb 18th of this year in Boston, MA. We were approved and she received her I-551 stamp in the passport.
She got her green card in the mail 2 days ago (May 7th, 2004). So about 3 weeks after the interview.
Not sure why yours is taking so long and what's with Texas??

Hmmm that's strange ours didn't come from Texas and we used VT.
Regardless, I would strongly insist that they make out another I-89 (think that is the one) and resubmit it as a lost card. Bet you dollars to donuts the original is sitting in your file in Lee's Summit, Kansas.
