Next Step - CR1 Application
After the successful I-130 petition, we were sent the NVC Case Number and Invoice ID Number, so went online for the next step.
My (US) wife then paid the $120 fee for the Affidavit of Support., which took a couple of days to show paid. We don't see any link to filling out the DS-260. When I click on to pay for the IV fee, I'm just taken to the page showing the payment receipt for the AoS. Am I too impatient and need to wait a bit longer? Or is there something else we must do? I'm assuming that I file the DS-260 online, and my wife will post her and my documents, as per the letter, to the NVC. I will pick up her signed I-864ez when I visit her next month, so I will have it for the interview (tba). Also, does she need to submit 2 copies of the marriage certificate? One copy under Financial Documents and one copy under supporting documents? |

Re: Next Step - CR1 Application
Thanks for the prompt reply.
At least my wife can download her tax transcript whilst we wait. And print off copies of my documents (might need to buy her some new ink cartridges when I next visit). |
Re: Next Step - CR1 Application
My wife has now been invited to pay my IV fee of $325.
I'd pay it, but the only option is through a US bank account ;) Moving forward one step at a time. |
Re: Next Step - CR1 Application
Just filling in the DS-260 form online, and I'm a bit confused by:
Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. with you? She's a US citizen, already living and working in the USA. If I say 'no', it then asks if she will join later. So I assume I have to say yes to the question, even though it's not strictly true. I suspect they just need to know that she will be in the country when I arrive. |
