Hi. I have read Arnaldo and Alvena's marriage visa web site. It is an excellent site.
I have a question about the Direct Consular Filed Spousal Visa. Am I correct in
saying that if I go to Japan (where my "fiance" lives) I might be there up to 3
months waiting for the interview? Is it possible for me to be in America until the
time of the interview, then go to Japan? And here is probably a famous question: what
is the easiest, fastest way for me and my fiance to get married?

YOU have to file the I-130 initially in order for them to give her a packet #3 and
then #4 for the final interview. You only have to be present for the INITIAL
interview, as I understand it. She can do the rest.
The 3-4 months that this might take will generally beat the time for the fiance visa
at most service centers at this time.
