I just read that Newark INS at the airport give you hassles. Is this true? I am going to Newark and now I am scared! Please can somebody who went to Newark enlighten me on this. Thanks.

If you are coming in on K-1, you should have no worries. My fiancée stood
on the queue for passports and was brought into the room for pending
immigrants. If you are lucky, they will wave you in ahead of others if they
see your paperwork in hand. There will be two piles the immigration officer
work off from, and yours will be in the 'easy' pile. From our experience,
they alternate working on tough and 'easy' piles when processing paperwork.
The paperwork should take less than three minutes, the waiting time is about
an hour though once you are diverted from the passport queues.

Hi, I came through Newark on a K-1 in December last year with my 2 K-2 children. We were waved to the front, taken to a room and our papers processed in 5 minutes. Easy-peasy-lemon-cheesy. Don't panic!
