new york i485 timeline
i sent my wifes paperwork around 5 months ago i alredy got the letter that they
received the paperwork,and i went and did the fingerprints like a month ago.
how much longer am i looking at.i hear people saying that for this it takes
around 8 to 12 months is that true.?? IM FILING IN MAHATTAN NYC OFFICE.

that was fast.
From what I've read here, it takes 18-24 months after filing to receive the
interview.
Maybe things are really speeding up, hope so.

Who are these people that you are hearing say this? At present, NYC is taking 18 to 24 months as James said. Did you wife apply for an EAD or A/P? If so, have you heard about them. And why are you doing fingerprinting when your wife is the foreign spouse according to your post.

I'm in NY. I also sent my wife's paper work and it was accepted in
September within 1 month time frame. Then we did the finger print in
October 03'. It's now over 4 months and I'm wondering when will she
receive her conditional status. We should at least receive the
conditional green card before the 17month. the 17th month is when you
one should file to get the 2 year conditional status removed.
