People have mention the new fiscal year and the holidays as a cause for
slowdown. But couldn't part of the slow down at the MSC be due to more
people who marry overseas marry during the christmas holiday period and this
would put a larger amount of people to be processed in January?

thanks for the update.
Based on progress reflected on this table, I'm expecting my dated Feb 6 first NOA for I-129F to be processed around latter part of this month or first week of June. What do you think?

I would think 3 weeks at the latest for you. They seem to be moving one
week ahead for every 2 weeks that passes. We could assume that they
couldn't keep up this pace forever or else they would increasingly get
farther behind. Unless someone states differently I would think the amount
of marriages during the xmas holiday season would at least be double that of
other times and that would create twice as many applications to process for
the month of January. We are at the end of the processing of January so I
would think they should start speeding up.

That's my theory, trying to remain optimistic. If they process the
forms at a perfectly steady, constant rate, but there are more forms
filed during January than during other months, then we'd expect to
see what looks like a "slowdown" when they get around to processing
the forms that were filed in January. We'd also expect to see what
looks like a "speedup" when they are processing forms filed in less
popular months.

My I-129F was received by the NBC/MSC on 3/30/2004 when I expect it to be approved?

If they keep slowing down, consider November!

I'm hoping someone further up on this post is correct - that there was more of an influx of K3s in January. If that's the case, maybe, just maybe... things could speed up?

Mine's going in on the 3rd June this year but I'm not expecting miracles!

Default approximate date of 2nd NOA for K-3

I'd say early August at the latest for approval of your I-129F
Just a guess based on past stats

I took the current rate of around 14 weeks and added an arbitrary number of months to make that point that we cannot rely on processing dates from the USCIS!

What I would suggest for you current K3 applicants is to do a rollcall thread here. We did it starting for a bunch of K3ers from fall of 2002 through early summer of 2003. Another one was started in May of 2003. For what it was worth, it was a great way to find out who's where in the K3 process and a good way to get support from other folks in your shoes. I "met" some fine folks that way and learned to thank my lucky stars on a few things.

Graduate of the K3 class of 2002-2003
However, still "left behind" for 130 class,

I'm wondering if this is a joke, but I'll go with it in case it's a serious question.

On the 6th May USCIS posted an I-129F processing date of 27th January. So NOA1s dated 27th January or before are either being processed, have been processed or should be processed shortly. That is, if they haven't been lost, mislaid or otherwise disposed of!

January 27th to May 6th = 14 weeks, give or take a day or two. If your I-129F NOA1 is 30th March and they keep to these processing times, you may be looking at an NOA2 the first week in July. That's being incredibly optimistic - each case has its own little path through the USCIS maze - and the time it takes for this journey varies greatly.
