Need US passport for AOS interview?

Need US passport for AOS interview?
Hi my wife is a US citizen and we are ready to go to AOS interview in March. She hasn't apply for US passport yet but she has the certificate of Naturalization. Is the certificate enough or she needs to brings the US passport to the interview?? IF so, I will have to ask her to apply right away because time is running out.
