For most people going through the process 911 has nothing to do with the delays. Nice excuse though.

If we had gone the other way, US-UK, 4 weeks would have been ample. Taken us 2 1/2 years to get to the same point.

They do not serve you, they serve the system that has been created by your Representatives.

I have actually found all the individuals I have dealt with fine, the system is the issue.

All countries, well all western countries, check marriage validity. Even then fraud is rampant.

No, it services the country and, what's more, we gave them the authority to do so. We elected the officials who made the decisions on our behalf, and these are the decisions they have made.
