Need some immigration advice/comments for a friend. On K3 visa process and what his expectations be from Consular Officer.
I wanted to get advice for my friend.
He is a Pakistani citizen. Married to USC after deportation. Due to
overstaying a voluntary departure order from an immigration judge for 22
days. Overstayed student visa by 5 years.
USC wife was aware about the whole thing from the start.
Reason for overstaying VD was due to Immigration officer giving him a report
date after his voluntary departure due date. During his appeal to Board of
Immigration Appeals.
He entered on Duration of Status as a F-1 student. Completed his bachelor's
degree.
His appeal was denied by BIA due to being untimely.
Now he is waiting for his K3 visa to process.
What should my friend expect at the visa interview?
Will his K3 visa be aproved? Given the circumstances. In a normal way.
