Default Need sample/format for Employment Letters, Affidavits for AOS interview

Hello All,

I have my AOS interview coming up in less than 2 weeks. I am married
to a US Citizen.

Time line is as follows :
On Nov 15 2002 we got married, Jan 15 2003 we filed the AOS paperwork,
got the interview for Feb 18 2004.

I was trying to put together all the paperwork required for the
interview and needed help with the format of the employment letters
and Affidavits from family members/friends etc..

I am not sure what the letters should contain... Can somebody give me
tips for the content of both the 1) employment letters and 2)
affidavits?

If you can please post some samples that would be great.. otherwise
the information needed in them would be helpful too...

Thanks!!!

I can help with this one. Corey's (USC) employer wrote a short note on company letterhead stating the following:

Corey has worked for (Company name) since (date). He works (amount of hours) per week, and his hourly pay is (xxx). He is currently employed on a permanent basis, and his chances of continued employment are excellent.

The branch manager signed it and attached his business card in case of questions. This seemed to suffice when we filed both the I-134 and the I-864.

Rld,

The instructions for the I-864 Affidavit of Support tell you exactly what the employment letter should contain. Page 2, halfway down the right-hand column.

Affidavits from family members and friends are not required for AOS. Such affidavits are not mentioned anywhere in the instructions for AOS. (They are mentioned in the instructions for removal of conditions on permanent residency, but that's another matter and even then the affidavits are optional - not required.) If you want to provide affidavits anyway, see the instructions for form I-751 for information on content.

Regards, JEff

for my job letter, mine only stated that I am working at this
place for x years, I did not have salary amounts... because I
also gave them copy of w2's + taxes.
