Default Need to include surname in passport

Hi,

I need to include my surname in my passport. As of now the field is blank.
Is it mandatory that the surname should be present for visa processing?
It would be great if somebody can pass any information in this regards.
Thanks

Are you sure you have a real passport? Surely without your name, especially surname - it cannot be valid?
