hi!!
I am indian citizen living in INDIA waiting for my I-130 (marriege to
u.s. citizen)(I-864 way) (case was filed in U.S.A )visa.*this is NOT a
DCF process.*

I received a mail from NVC stating that
"The National Visa Center has completed processing of your case and
forwarded
file to american embessy/consulate of mumbai(bombay) INDIA.
the nvc sent case on 25th march 2004 to bombay.

can any one tell me when will be my intrview sheduled??
i asked the mumbai consulate they first told me my intrview will be in
may.
agin i asked to mumbai consulate after seeing on consulate website
that my intrview is not in may. they told me my intrview will be in
june,,,

please tell me how much time the consulate to shedule appoinment after
NVC sent case to them.

The interview will not get scheduled automatically. Mumbai will send you what is called Packet 3 that contains forms that you need to fill out and send back. Once you have done that, and the consulate receives the forms, you will get scheduled for an interview (normally 1-1.5 months after they receive Packet 3 from you). You can call the consulate and find out whether they have sent you Packet 3. Another option is to go to the consulate, pick up the forms and fill them out and submit them then and there.

Have you already submitted DS 230-I (packet 3)to NVC ?? I went through
all these process but through chennai post ..

Call the consulate every day until they confirm that your case has been received by them, they will give you a BOM number indicating the case number.

Then promptly go to the consulate, line up in front of the information window as early as possible and ask for Packet 3 forms. Fill out the information and return it, if possible, that day itself. At worst the next day.

You can now keep an eye on the website to see when your interview is going to be.

We went through this a year ago with my wife in India, and this is how we did it. She has been in the US for more than a year now and we are STILL yet to receive the Packet 3 they supposedly mailed to her residence in India.

Be proactive with this embassay and you will get things done sooner.
