WE are looking to employ a specialised lecturer who is British and his
wife is a USA citizen, they have never lived in the USA, nor tried to
get him status to live in the USA.
Would getting him a H1B be a problem?, is there another visa we should
be looking at getting for him. We process our own H1B's, and have never
come across this situation before.
thanks in advance

H1B wouldn't be a problem as dual intent (immingrant & non-immigrant) is
authorized for this status.
But it would be easier and more logical if his wife would sponsor him for an
immigrant visa ; he'll then become a permanent resident (green card holder)
as soon as he enter in the US.

Thanks
We need the person here quickly to teach a class, so think H1B will be
the best and quickest way to get him into country.
