The NSC acted on a total of 178 petitions between February 2nd through February 6th (Approvals, RFE's and other). Averaged out for the period, that's about 35.6 petitions per day! I glanced back at the Activity Reports from September and October of last year: the NSC was consistently acting on 300 to 400 petitions per week back then. They're now processing roughly half that number...which means they've effectively stopped processing fiancée petitions. Rumors are afoot that they're processing TSC petitions to help them catch up with their backlog, apparently choosing to ignore their own 7+ month backlog. This is being done at your expense, folks...

According to the BCIS, the NSC (as of Jan. 24th, 2004) is currently processing petitions on or before July 24th, 2003. They're currently admitting to being behind 7.5 months...which we all know is BS...it's worse than that. If they are processing TSC petitions, then it's being done instead of NSC petitions. If you've just submitted your petition, be prepared to wait 9 or more months for your NOA2. I see that they're STILL posting expected wait times of 150 to 180 days on NOA1's...HAHAHAHA! It's probably not professional to laugh like that because it's not funny...my NOA2 came after an excruciating wait of over 210 days. You folks over the 180 day mark should be calling your senator or representative and raising hell! "

This is bloody aweful news.

I hate NSC with a passion. Why can't they sort they sh*t out and start getting through there own backlog.

I'm at 160 days now, but i'm think its going to be a long wait until I receive my NOA2! I feel for you MrDub!

MrDub, how did you get this information, is there a resource online that we can use to keep our beedy eyes on exactly what NSC are up to.
We filed ours in October 03, and I'm rather curious to find out why they've processed 8 in november and yet have done 0 for october. It almost seems like they're doing a couple from each month rather than in order, just to keep everyone suitably confused.

cheers
James

Can you imagine being one of the poor souls from March who's only now been approved?

That's 11 months. Utterly unforgivable.

We were going through TSC - but are changing tactic. I'm going over to visit him at the end of March/beginning of April, and we're having a justice of the peace marriage. Then a blessing in the UK at the beginning of June. It's a long road for K3, but worth it.

Hi Kath,
I assume the K3 processing times are quicker than K1 for TSC, if so I think it is a wise decision that I regret not doing as apparently there is a load of B.S. to contend with even after K1 visa is issued for years to come which as far as have heard is avoided with K3 visa. Unfortunatly I have already waited more than 180 days for my K1 NOA2 from NSC so I cant turn back now !

anyway good luck
