Hi,
My wife just received a letter from the embassy asking her to fill out a form that contains a checklist of stuff that she will need to bring for her CR1 interview. We filed for her I-130 in January and were expecting an interview letter but it turned out to be just a simple form asking her to get these things ready and inform the embassy as soon as she is ready with the documents. They have misspelled her name on the letter. I am not sure what we need to do in case we need to get the spellings of her name corrected? Does anybody have any idea what course of action to pursue in such a case? Thanks for all your help.
Mick

They got the DOB wrong on my wife's fingerprint request letter and the only
thing they said was "Show us some photo ID" and "It happens all the time."
So long as you have the proper ID I don't think it's to big of a deal,
though I would stilll call to make sure there's nothing you need to do.
