Post My I-751 Timeline

Hey there all,

It has been a while since I've been active on here and the time has come to finally prepare and send off my I-751 (Removal of Conditions), so I figured it would be best to see if I have missed anything!

Firstly, am I missing anything glaringly obvious in the packet:
  1. I-751 form fully completed with N/A written in any box which does not apply
  2. Check for $680 (Biometrics and form filing fee)
  3. Green card front & back photocopy
  4. Selection of photographs from when we got married.
  5. Evidence of on-going relationship (below has both our names on):
    • Bank statements from 10/16 - 01/19
    • Car lease loan
    • 2017 tax return (Fed & State) as jointly filed.
    • Copy of notification of closed on house we purchased.
    • Copy of the deed to the house.
    • Eye care/medical notices addressed to us both.
    • Car insurance document
    • Copy of title to a car.
    • HOA bill / notifications.
    • Affidavit from in-laws
Can anyone notice anything?

My only other question is, I assume it is best to put N/A in all boxes except those that take ages or cannot fit N/A in since in the instructions it says do not leave anything blank.

Thanks in advance,
John

I hope you actually receive your extension letter and not have to trudge off and get an I-551 extension stamp!

The form is laughably easy though (and this is coming from someone who is easily confused by these things), do not overthink it, tell the truth and answer to the best of your ability.

Thanks Petrified. It is being sent tomorrow, now the wait for the check to be cashed and the notice of extension until adjudication or (God forbid) an RFE.

Any reason to be concerned that I haven't heard anything since the notification of extension was received? No biometrics or appointments.
Just curious.

Thanks!

No reason at all. Some peoples I751 are taking 2 years+

A word of advice, you may want to not bother filing N400 after 3 years, because it will not be adjudicated until your I751 has been. This is a new, but pretty much confirmed, silent process change.

I'll be filing for ROC in November this year, was planning on filing the N400 concurrently when the time came but as civilservant has said it definitely seems to be pretty well-confirmed by others that you can no longer do this.

Hopefully you'll get an update soon, as I'm in CO I'm fairly certain mine will go the California Service Centre which doesn't bode well for a speedy turnaround!

Good that I shouldn't be concerned regarding zero contact. As for the N400 change, that's a shame. I was hoping to file the N400 in January. I can only assume my plans will now need to be changed in accordance with the I-751 approval time.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks, I sure hope so. Although I'm in Idaho, and mine got sent to the Nebraska center (LIN processing code) so it is possible yours will too. I think they split up the cases in order to get them resolved quicker. So fingers crossed there!

My I751 hasn't been approved and my N400 interview is next month. No clue what they're going to do about that; adjudicate at the same time? Deferred adjudication? Who knows!

Simple - you won't get a decision on your N400. They'll action it after the I-751 finally gets approved.

Yep. My I-751 has been processing since January 2018. Went for my naturalization interview last month and didn't get a decision yet as they are waiting on I-751 to be approved.

I heard a rumour these instances bump the I-751 application up to the top of the pile, is that true or false does anyone know?

Not sure anyone here has any more information then you do. Honestly, I would be surprised if this was the case - because a large number of people do N400 as soon as they hit 3 years. If everyone was being bumped up, no one would be.
