My CR1 experience ... thank God ..
 

Hi All,

During my I-130 process, this site was so helpful to me ...now finally
i got the CR1 visa from chennai (India) consulate. Let me explain my
interview (CR1) experince.

On 26th, at around 7:30 am I came to the queue with my wife (USC),
initially the security didn't allow my wife to get in, but she
contacted the officer and he let her in. My interview time was 8:00
am, they called my name for submission of all documents, I went to
that counter and gave all the docs including 2003 tax papers. He asked
some questions and I answered all that and asked me to wait for the
final interview.

When i was waiting, i noticed that they were calling others for the
final interview who submitted the papers much later than me, then i
was under tension. Finally one American Consulate officer called my
name, then we both (me and my wife) went to that counter. He started
asking questions and he was very friendly and cool. He asked some
questions to my wife also like about her job and all that, I didn't
feel like it was a visa interview, finally he asked for the marriage
pics, we took the entire album, we just showed some pics, thast all..
He said ..its done ....the happiest moment ....the next day i got the
visa attached to the brown pack by courier.

All long waiting over ...we both planning to enter US on 12th, my POE
is Newark ...
