Everything is much clearer now.


Diueine ( my husband) and I just got married on June 2nd so he will
have to apply for an adjustment of status when we get to the US.

Let me underscore what Rene said.. it's very important that you understand. There will be no Adjustment of Status for you husband. Adjustment of Status to Permanent Resident is the official title and your Diueine will BE a PR when he enters the US.

He WILL file the I-751 1 year+9months AFTER he enters.

When he gets to the US, all he has to do is wait about 4 weeks for his Green Card and Social Security card to arrive in the mail. From his first day here he will be eligible to work etc etc. He has NO paperwork to file for basically 2 years. The Consul will explain this at your interview.

He reaches the 'finish line' as soon as he reaches the States.
