This thread is getting better and better. The man married two women at
the same time, one of which is his cousin or such. Lucky bloke
At this point, I have no idea what's really happening. Is he trying to
sponsor his second wife to U.S. or Canada? Initially, I understood as
U.S., but he is a Canadian... Dual citizens maybe?.....nuts...

Re: Multiple wives question
I got married 4 years ago to Canadian citizen, we both Syrian
Please help me with my questions
1- Are they going to consider our separation a divorce (no legal
divorce done yet) and there was no intent of divorce before.
2- He lied in his application and she did too .Is this consider
misrepresentation or fraud? And what will happen to their case after
he gets his divorce.
3- I filled a child and spouse support. Can this complicate his
application in any way?
4- What I understand that he needs to divorce me first, then
divorce
her second, then he remarry her again and apply for her again, how
long this will take if this what will happen?
Please help me with your advice.

1. Sounds more like abandonment than separation, though not sure if this is interpreted the same in the courts, but definitely, if you did NOT receive a divorce decree, you're still legally married to the man.
2. Total fraud.
3. I would think he would need to earn a higher income as this would be considered in determining his eligibility to sponsor the fake wife, but since the man is a fraud, likely his application will be thrown out.
4. An illegal marriage cannot be granted a divorce decree, it will simply be cancelled.
Do not divorce the bigamist, let him sue you for divorce and then you can counter-sue with adultery..his other marriage while still legally married to you will be 100% proof of adultery.
Good luck, get yourself a lawyer and do NOT sign anything without proper legal counsel first.

After re-reading her posts, I think I finally figured out the gist of
it. The OP lives in US. Her estranged husband is in Canada. He married
one of his relatives and now he, as a Canadian citizen, is trying to
sponsor her to Canada, not to U.S. One of the OP's friends in U.S. got
a wind of the situation and alerted the OP. The OP then contacted the
Canadian embassy in U.S. to notify them of a fraud.

I did not see your advice here, if you're not able to contribute, then don't insult posters who took time to help out, even if the advice was not to your liking.
My advice to the OP, you have got the law on your side and the ball is in your court. You have a child to think about so get a good lawyer who will advice you of your legal rights.

Yes, she was arrogant, snob, whatever, but to call her a bitch, you're no better than Imus indeed. Btw, do you call your co-workers, friends, etc. as such when they behave or say something you do not approve of?.

I might suggest you don't make judgements until you know the folks a bit better.
