Moving country during consular processing
I finally got my I-130 accepted today and am now waiting for my welcome letter from the NVC.
All this has taken an immense amount of time and our time in the UAE may be coming to an end. My wife may return to the USA to find a job and I will do some traveling to see family while I wait for the interview. We will no longer have residence in the UAE, will I still be able to return for consular processing once my interview is scheduled even without UAE residency? Or will this not be possible as it is no longer my jurisdiction? |
Re: Moving country during consular processing
The only way of knowing for certain is to ask the Consulate.

Re: Moving country during consular processing
You can let NVC know that you want to interview in a different country. That being said, it's up to the embassy to allow a non-resident to interview. So if you are a UKC, the best place to interview is London.

Please clarify .... Accepted or Approved????????????????
If only accepted, you still have many months to ago before your USC wife will hear from the NVC re: finanical sponsorship, etc. |
