The Moment I've Been Waiting For :)

Well at last, I've finally received my K1 Visa :D

It's been a slightly frustating process with several hiccups along the way, but as the old saying goes.... love conquers all and we got there in the end

My USC fiance is flying into Manchester on Sunday morning, staying with me for the week so I can have a going-away "do" next Friday and then we will fly back to Boston, together on Sunday 16th September.

Our plan now is to elope to the White Mountains in NH around 12th October as his dad is quite ill and probably wouldn't be able to attend a local wedding, so we're going back to what was, our original plan of an intimate, romantic wedding in surroundings that we both love ;)

Anyway, I just want to thank you ALL so much for all your invaluable advice, support and encouragement over the last few months BUT.... don't think you're off the hook just yet, I'm sure there'll be loads of things I'll need help with in a month or two when going through the AOS process.

Again.... thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Congrats- and good luck in advance for doing battle with USCIS when you get to the AOS ;)

Congratulations! Your plans for eloping to the mountains sound great! Sorry to hear his dad is ill, though.

Come on back when it's AOS time. :)

Thank you all so much...... a slight adjustment to our flights due to the extreme price hike when trying to book flights only two days away.

Fred now flies in on Tuesday 11th and we'll return together to Boston on Monday 17th.... a day less overall, but much cheaper and also better as we'll be flying with Aer Lingus and going through Dublin...... is it right that I'll hand my brown envelope in there and go through all my secondary processing at Dublin?

Not quite sure on this one, but thought I'd just go with the flow - we have just over five hours at Dublin anyway, so plenty of time if that is the case :)

I'm not sure. I don't think it's every flight out of Dublin that does that, only some.
