Hi All

Does anyone have any experience with the Missouri Service center and a K-3 visa, if
so can you give me some input on how long your approval took.

Thanks

Hello Everyone!

As frusterating as the Immigration process is you can't LOSE HOPE! Like many of you,
I too have been dealing with the INS DEVILS for my K3 visa.

Here is my timeline so far: Mailed I-130 January 24, 2002 Received 1st NOA February
4, 2002 (Dated January 29) Mailed I-129f February 7, 2002 Received 1st NOA February
22, 2002 (Dated February 15) I-129f got to Missouri Service Center February 18, 2002
LISTENED TO MESSAGE (15-21days) FOR 62 DAYS I-129f Approved (automated service) April
22, 2002 Received I-129f Approval NOA in mail April 29, 2002 Requested Provisional
file from Vancouver Consulate May 1, 2002 Received Package 3 from Consulate May 6,
2002 Medical exam booked for May 15, 2002

I have all the required documents and all necessary paperwork filled out, all I have
to do now is get my medical exam and mail it all to the consulate. They did not
require a I-134 or any tax returns, they also said that they will contact me if they
decide that an interview is needed but most likely the visa will be sent to me in
the mail(in the $15 prepaid envelope that you have to send them so that they can
send the visa to you ) The Vancouver Consulate has been excellent to deal with
thus far and I hope that everyone is having similar dealings with there Consulates.
I have a long road ahead of me still but it feels so good to finally be moving along
rather than being
idle. I wish you all the best, if anyone has any questions you can email me at
[email protected] I would be more than happy to help in any way.

God Bless Mel

P.S. Is it me or is this Immigration process just one cost after another? Just when
you think you are done dishing out cash another fee appears! Why is it so hard
and expensive just to be with the ones we love??????????

If you look carefully at that URL it is very out of date, the MSC must not of
officially released an update yet, because all the sites that keep this information
look the same.

Here's my current time line:

I filed I-129F about Feb 15th 2002. It's been a total disaster.

Finally I contacted my Congressman. I was approved yesterday - just 2 weeks later
May 9th 2002.

I was lucky to have a woman working in my Congressmans office that knew how to
contact MSC and fix the problems. She has an email address that only
Congressman can use.

Good Luck - It can be done. K-3 is a great visa because my wife can travel back home
anytime without advance parole. Even with my horror story with MSC - I got approved
in about 80 days.

PS I think I read somewhere that the whole MSC office closed down for nearly a month
(I think it was March).
