AOS question(moving to another state)
I arrived in NYC 2 weeks( holding K1 visa) and my fiancee and I are going to get married very soon. Our plan is moving to Florida by the end of March 2004 and I was wondering what's gonna happen to the AOS that we are going to file in NYC?
I am afraid the transfer process causes more delay in our AOS application, and on the other hand, to me it doesn't sound rational to file in Florida while we haven't moved yet and we don't have any address there.

I appreciate your advice with respect to my situation in advance.

Thanks,

I deleted your other post and set up this one. Please do not address your questions strictly to me. I'm only a wander, like yourself, on the road to the Wizard of Oz.

As for your question, if you file now (which you have to in order to be in status) your file will have to be transferred to the local District Office in Florida. At this point in time with all the new changes going on with the USCIS and the transfer of AOS petitions to the NBS for initial processing, your petition might fare better than normal because it is in one place and will remain there until it is time for interviewing.
