Hi all,
I am in the process of filing AOS for my wife and wondering about medical exam. Does my fiance have to complete her medical exam before she can submit I-485 or wait until notification of AOS's interview? Also, we live in San Diego and need to know local doctors for medical examination.

I know someone who applied for AOS at San Diego INS. She applied in person and never asked to submit for her medical exam result. She didn't even bother to take one. I really don't know if that's the office policy or not. Since my friend never actually confirm that to the officer. I suggest you to call and ask them about that.

By the way, they process EAD on the same day if you arrive early.

was she here on a K-1. If so then you can include a copy of the medical checklist given to the embassy. That should be sufficient (and like stated above, for K-1's they typically would not require this at the time of filing anyways).
