Can anyone give me some info on the medical exam for direct consular filing with London embassy.
I have read something that says an external genital exam is carried out. Is that really true? Would my 16 year old daughter have to submit? I'm a little but shocke, naive perhaps.

It is, yes. You'll have one also. Mostly, it's a quick check to make sure that if you say you're female... that you, in fact, are!


If she wants the visa, yes - otherwise, no. You are allowed to be there... and you can also insist that a female doctor or nurse be present. The check is non-invasive.

Yes, there is an external genital exam and yes your daughter will need to have it done. It's not an exam, more a quick look, no touching involved. There is a female doctor, she did my medical, I believe her name is Dr. Fong.

I had my medical in London in January - didn't have any genital check.

Strange, no one had a shuftee at my private parts.
All I can recall is the "You will need this inoculation and that inoculation, Please pay hundreds of pounds, do not pass go till all paid up"

Would rather have had the quick grope that have to pay all that money over.

Maybe they don't bother with the genital check now that same-sex marriage is allowed for immigration; the applicant's gender no longer has any bearing to their eligibility.
