Default Marrying before moving to US

Hello!
My partner has dual-citizenship and has been living in Canada for 3 years.
Myself and my 8 yr old daughter have been living with him for 2 years (I have
full custody). He has a job offer in the US and we are thinking of getting
married in Canada and all moving together.
After reading some of these posts- it seems a bit more complex than that!
My main questions are:
Can we all leave for the US at the same time? Will my daughter be able to go
to school there before all the paperwork is done? Approximate time I will
have to wait before I can be employed there? Are there any advantages to
waiting and getting married in the US?
Any and all advise is really appreciated!
Thanks!

If you and your daughter have your immigrant visas by that time, then yes you can all come over together. If he needs to start work before you have those, then no, unless you can convince the POE officer that you and your daughter are only coming for a visit and will return to Canada for your visa processing.

That depends on the type of visa you come in on. If you come on a CR-1 immigrant visa, you can work right away. The K-3 and K-1 require you to have an EAD to be eligible to work, until you have your green card.

No. Not in my opinion. The CR-1 immigrant spouse visa is the best one to go for, in my opinion, because there is less follow-up paperwork once in the USA.

Best Wishes,
Rene
