Hi, anyone can help? A friend is getting ready to marry his fiance,, he is from Uk, she is from US. He has been in the US for some years on a visa. However, there seems to be a technical problem. He originally had L1 visa and whilst that was running out, then applied for H1-B as circumstances had changed and this was granted, but he did not leave the US and come back in to 'activate' the H1-B, just stayed here. The H1-B visa lasts until end of this year. I have been told that this will not necessarily be a problem in the marriage visa/green card process.

Can anyone advise?
