Default Marriage in Denmark for a UK/US partnership

Hi,

So here is the idea. Interested to hear theories on whether this could work:

US Citizen in the UK on a visitor visa. UK Citizen in the UK as normal. Both people want to eventually live together in the US with the UK citizen getting the right to work asap. The couple get over to Denmark and get married, return to the UK and then the US citizen returns to the States whilst the UK citizen remains in the UK.Then they apply for the CRI visa allowing the UK citizen to eventually get the right to get over to the US and join his US bride and they both live happily ever after....

Could this work?

Do you actually have a visa, or are you in the UK visiting for 6 months on the Visa Waiver Program?

Could this work?
Yes.

Yes. It doesn't matter where in the world the couple get married, as long as the marriage is legal. The rest of the process is the same. In fact, you could file the I-130 to the USA while you are still visiting in the UK.

You would need an English translation of the Danish marriage certificate.
