Marriage in Argentina
I plan on marrying an Argentine, in Buenos Aires in January while I am
in the country. Does anyone know the procedures and timelines for
Direct Consular Filings there. I was hoping to bring her home with
me. I'll be there fore 3 weeks

Re: Marriage in Argentina
I'm going through the same thing. Forget about bringing her home. You would be filing a I-130 petition and that takes 4 - 6 months. Fiance visa is quicker, cheaper and less complicated. You file in the US, it takes 30 -045 days to approve, pay the $150 to have it cabled over and if she's got all her paperwork she could be flying with her visa in as little as 90 days from the time you received approval.
My fiance is also in Argentina and the consulate there is not very helpful in person. They seem to like email more. Use it. Trust me. They only see people on Tuesday or when they feel like it and few people know their stuff there. My trip was a waste of money and time.
Go the fiance visa route.
