If you haven't got your family going with you, do let me know and I'll meet you there. And remember to try and fit in a visit to me down on the Costa too!

I found a link to that book. It's a great read for an insight into this area.

You will experience the same "problems" if living in a very tiny country town anywhere in the world..

Hyper- I doubt they will be let into the embassy... they'll have to wait outside.

As to the balck guy- when we were there all the student/tourist visas had to go to the right side windows, and all the K-3/K-1/DCF went to the left.... you'll see.... you'll probably have a sweet young brown haired girl (spanish) to process the papers, and a older mixed race (Dominican?) woman for the interview. Both of them were mas majas que las pesetas....super simpaticas!!!

Yikes! That's bad.

My fiance lives in the city. She never has problems like that.

Yes, Oviedo is nice. It doesn't really have a lot of tourist things to see.
But it's a cool place to hang out. One of the reasons I like it is because
it has a lot of pedestrian areas. The old part around the cathedral is
particularly nice. Definitely drink some cider while you are there.
Cudillero is a cool town to stop in for a couple of hours as you're going
along the coast toward Galicia. And of course you have to see Santiago.
I'd pass on A Coruña though.

No, it was a white guy. My fiance could tell you his name. She said she'll
always remember it.

The officer who interviewed my fiance was an American guy. He spoke Spanish
pretty well, just not great. I imagine there are several officers working
there. There were at least a dozen windows. I didn't really look very
carefully at the people behind the windows. But I did see at least one
other guy in a uniform back there.
