Exclamation London Embassy Paperwork at Intervew

We are hoping for NVC case completion any day now, and so will soon be off to London for the interview. I am just wondering how many people who have already gone through the London embassy required additional financial information? (or any additional paperwork that they did not know about until interview time)

What if they asked for something that you did not have there and then? As far as I know we have sent everything they would need with our I-864 packet to NVC, but have read that there is the possibility that they will ask for additional information at the interview (or that the packet may get lost between NVC and the London embassy). So just wondered what the chances are that they will ask for more? We have a co/joint sponsor so should be above the poverty guidelines etc. Just a little worried now that we will get there and find out that they want something we did not already cover and then have to go away with no visa and sort out more paperwork etc.

We have a copy of the I-130 packet that we sent in originally, but for some reason did not copy any of the other forms that we sent. Most likely because the only real forms we sent were the I-864 packet and we were in a rush to send it off. I would assume that since NVC review the paperwork that if it gets to London for an interview the chances are that they have everything they need, at least I hope so. I think it is possible that since its getting nearer the time I am worrying about things that I don't really need to worry about.

Thanks for any replies.

Default Re: London Embassy Paperwork at Intervew

Hi

We just took copies and originals of everything they asked for, i.e. birth cert, marriage cert, divorce papers, police records, military records etc. I also took a copy of the I-864, 3yrs tax returns, employers letter etc but they didn't need it as we had already send the I-864 to the NVC and they had it all at the Embassy. Actually I left my birth certificate in the US as it was kept at the bank so my husband fed ex's it to my sisters address. That was quite scary! I'm sure you have everything and it will be fine. They didn't ask for anything that wasn't on the list. It was very organized and easy. Good luck.
