Default London DCF experiences

Can people who have gone through this in London please post their experiences?

Also, does anyone know where I can find a simple checklist of all the things I
will need?

Many thanks **L**

Lottie I've found that the London embassy in the best source of information.

The first thing you will need to do is file an I-130 petition (bear in mind that you
can only do this if the US Citizen is legally resident in the UK,
i.e. Further Leave to Remain, Indefinite Leave to Remain, British passport, working
for a US company abroad, etc.)
http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_web/ins/i130filing.htm

An overview of the process is here:
http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_web/visa/iv/immrel.htm

The next step is here http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_web.../ivprocess.htm

Some good personal experience pages are: http://www.ameriscot.com/i130/

Hope this helps
i.f.

Hi There SM This quote has really confused me " The first thing you will need to do

My boyfriend (soon to be husband) is about to apply for the I-130. He is resident in
the US. Did i miss something here?

If he doesn't live in the UK, he can't file the I-130 there. If he does live in the
UK, he could file the I-130 and you would be in the US much faster. Oddly enough, his
living IN the UK could speed your departure FROM the UK.

Plus, he has to already be your husband to file I-130.
