Default London Application - Document Upload

Completed DS260 online, completed gathering documents, medical booked, is there somewhere I'm meant to upload the documents or does my husband just take them to the interview? Thanking you for your help!

Your husband will take everything with him to the interview. He will need to get a police certificate prior to the medical... but I can only guess that's what you mean when you write "completed gathering documents". For future reference, it would help if you can be specific... there are a lot of documents and you wouldn't want to miss one.

Thanks Ian. We have obtained police certificate & fingerprints, completed the I-864 & I-864a, the documents we are referring to are tax returns, marriage certificate, birth certificates and all supporting financial documentation. Are we meant to scan copies and send all of these things ahead or just take the original documents to the interview? It's a bit unclear because the website links take you to the NVC which suggests uploading, but then later it doesn't appear as though that's required for the London Embassy.

Apologies I was not clear enough the first time.

Take with you the original and a copy of each document. They can keep the copy, i.e. marriage certificate, birth certificate, and the original of others if that is what is required.

Thanks Rete. We've got the originals and photocopies but my husband was thinking we were meant to upload scanned images as well beforehand as that seemed to be what was required.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I'm at the same stage as you, and my reading of the situation is that you don't need to scan the documents. Just take them to the interview. Good tip about taking copies though.

Since it seems you filed the I-130 directly to London, the NVC is not involved in the process at all. You can safely ignore anything referring to uploading info to NVC. Everything will go with your husband to his interview.
