Hi All,

Rete publishes links for visa related sites to help people understand the process and we (the people who have been through the process) mop up the rest. What happens after the visa is issued? A lot threads are started about related topics, once they have a visa, about getting to the US. I thought it would be good to start a list of companies and facilities to enable people to get over there.

Please add urls (links) of companies and services that you have used (or know about) that will be useful after the the visa is issued.

Patrick, GREAT IDEA. I hope lots of people add their input.

We've JUST started the process but I'm already trying to think ahead to the time when Mark arrives with his visa. Some things I'd like to get some resources on:

~ Getting insurance (health insurance, car insurance, etc.) -- is it as easy as simply adding him to my policies, or are there additional steps/requirements we have to take into account (besides getting his SSN first)

~ Setting up bank accounts -- again, is it pretty straightforward once Mark has his SSN, or is there more to it?

~ The wedding!! -- this is more of a personal thing, as I'm just having a hard time visualizing how we're going to coordinate and pull it off with people coming from two continents to see us get married. And strangely, even though we'd like a (very) small wedding, I'm finding it difficult to plan that -- everything seems geared towards big extravaganzas. Again, any input would be great.

I'm sure there are other things as well, but those are the main ones I'd like to know more about.

~ Jenney

Nice one Patrick - maybe you should start up a separate web page somewhere just collating these....

Northern Ireland specialty movers - there may be more but these people come across as professional...
