Default leaving the country with I-131 approved but no card at hand.

scenario:

advance parole is approved.
leave the country before getting the AP card.
re-enter without the card - can you do that?
can they check whether the we have an approved AP at the POE?

thanks,
ali.

If by "AP" you mean advance parole, it's not a card. It's a paper called an I-512. If you leave the US without an I-512 while under adjustment then you may have abandoned your application and have to start all over again. You could be required to wait outside the US for an immigrant visa.

The officer knowing that the AP was approved doesn't help. You have to think if it as your ticket back into the country. You need to be in physical possession of the I-512 to be admitted. The airline may not even allow you to board a plane destined to the US without it.

Now I know I-512 for AP; what's for Travel Document?

Now I know I-512 for AP; what's for Travel Document?
The I-131 is used to get either an I-512, Reentry permit, or a Refugee Travel document. All of these are considered travel documents.
