Default K4 crossing at Toronto Airport

Just a little FYI.. super simple!!
I moved to the US on July 31/02 and my son stayed in Canada. Things didn't work out for him there so I went back to bring him home with me, the day before his visa was to expire.. phewwww!!
No problem using my K3 visa crossing the border either way and super simple to bring my son across on his K4 visa. The Immigration Officer was very nice and efficient and only requested my son's passport and the mysterious brown envelope. I did not have to show I had sole custody nor the notarized letter from my ex. (altho I was prepared and had both with me).
Altho I had already applied for my EAD, I asked if they would issue me one, as well as one for my son, (what the heck, might have caught them on a good day No go!! Drats!! lol
Never did find out if they actually issued them at the Toronto Airport, it was a question he seemed to avoid answering directly..
Best of luck on all your petitions
Jo
